Telehandler Operator

This course is both theory and practical assessments. It will assess a telehandler operator so that will have the knowledge, skills and attributes for all essential areas of safe operation.

​The course also assesses the responsibilities of an operator with emphasis on accident prevention and operator responsibility.

​Topics assessed include 

• Hazard controls are described in accordance with company requirements.

• Telehandler and attachment are checked and prepared before use. 

• Operate a telehandler.

• Carry out post-operational procedures.

 *Pre-Requisites

​Operators must hold a current driver licence appropriate to the weight range of the telehandler Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) Operators must also hold a current licence endorsement for on road use  

​W Endorsement required if attachments are Hooks, Buckets, Jibs

F Endorsement required if attachments are Forks, Man-cages

The endorsements can be completed at the same time as the telehandler course.
